Fighter 8
Description
Name: Dimmy Waterford Class: Fighter Race: Half Orc Subrace: Half Giant Alignment: Chaotic Good Deity: Vorax Bio: Dimmy was the result of a tragic raid on the Waterford Farm Near Melnon. On of the Hill Giant Raiders got Farmer Waterford’s Daughter with child, a fact which the poor girl managed to miraculously hide until the last minute! When Dimmy entered the world he literally tore his Mother apart as he was larger then a human newborn and breach birth to boot. When Farmer Waterford and his wife saw the monstrosity they gasped and Mother Waterford fainted. Meanwhile there only child, there daughter sadly passed away soon after delivering Dimmy. At first Farmer Waterford hated Dimmy and treated him poorly as a child refusing even to name him with a proper name hence the name Dimmy. Mother Waterford through patience and good grace brought the stubborn old Farmer around and his Grandsons gentle spirit and sweet nature eventually got under the old coots skin and he forgave Dimmy in his old heart.
Growing up Dimmy exhibited superhuman strength and his favourite trick he liked to show his grandfather was tossing Cows. The Cows hated it but the Waterford’s got hours of amusement out of Dimmy's newfound sport. Fencing was another thing Dimmy was good at and once again amazed and amused his Grandfather by literally driving the fence posts in with his bare hands! Dimmy learnt how to chop wood for the fire and make buckets etc and make horseshoes for the horses and ploughs for the fields. His Grandfather discovered that although the lad had no intelligence whatsoever he did possess an almost single minded approach to learning. Once taught a new skill Dimmy would continue to do it over and over again in a near compulsive manner, exactly how he was shown. Skills related to his hands he was like this with, but give him a gold coin and tell him to hide it and was gone forever. His mid and long term memories seemed to function well but his short term was non existent. Of course long term development of skills after dimmy mastered the basics were rare as he simply loses interest.
Life on the Farm was good but, as is so often the case, Fate intervened into the Waterford’s happy little life once more when the Raiders returned one year. Farmer Waterford told Dimmy to run to Melnon and not realising it would be the last time he ever saw his Grandparents the lad, being the good boy he was, ran to Melnon to inform them of what happened. When he arrived there he was arrested on sight and taken to Fort Llast. Dimmy desperately convinced the Soldiers to return to the Waterford Farm but they arrived much too late to save the poor Waterford’s. At first they had to lock Dimmy in the stockade upon receiving the news of his Grandparents demise but once he settled down they released him and allowed him to stay on. Dimmy chopped wood for the ovens and fireplaces and made shoes for the Horses. Everyone at the Fort was quite impressed by his extraordinary strength. It wasn’t long before the Captain decided it was time to teach the Lad to look after himself and Dimmy excelled in most martial skills. One night Dimmy went to sleep and when he awoke he was in a strange place with what he thought was a Huge Doggy….
Dimmy is 8 and a half feet tall, has muscles on his muscles and the most sweet and fun loving guy you will ever meet. He has a good heart and will do anything for anyone who he thinks is nice but he will shun those that are cruel to him. He is not a mindless killer but he does enjoy his skill at fighting and likes to show it off. He is also known to randomly hug people so watch out!
