Caranthir Ar-Feiniel

For as far back as Caranthir can remember, he can always remember living with his human parents. Although he is half-human/half-elf and these gentle people are not his biological parents, Caranthir loves them as if they were..

They say that he was found in the wild, wandering the forest by himself, not much older than a toddler at the time when he was adopted by humans. It was shortly after his adoption that his parents moved him to Pranzis, where they felt he would be given every opportunity for success in life, somewhere he might fit in.

As time went by Caranthir grew both instrength and wisdom. His other half-elf friends did'nt seem to take much notice of him and so he withdrew from those about him and spent his time walking the paths of the forest. At night he would stare up at the sky, watching the stars. Caranthir was hungry for adventure, a human trait he must've inhearited. Although he longed to see the world, he could never leave his aged parents by themselves.

Some years later, Caranthir was helping his mother carry vegetables from the garden into the house when she collapsed onto the ground next to him, holding her chest in agony. Caranthir immediately called for help but it was too late, his mother was dead from heart failure. As much as this loss hurt Caranthir, it devastated his father who lived only 6 months longer. There are some that say he died of a broken heart.

And now Caranthir Ar-Feiniel, having nothing else left in Pranzis decided that he would live on his own for a while in the forest, just him and nature.

(2 years later)

One day Caranthir heard a loud noise approaching his dwelling in the forest, when he went to investigate the noise he saw something that made him freeze in his steps. A band of angry Orcs walking directly towards him. Caranthir was captured and after the Orcs pillaged and burned his home they began to torture Caranthir immensely. When the Orcs grew weary of the debacle one of them unsheathed his sword and stuck the blade to Caranthir's chest. Just as Caranthir though his young life was over he heard a great rumbling, like that of an earthqueake. All the Orcs stopped what they were doing and looked about in fear when all of the sudden a mighty army of critters both large and small burst from the woods, running full sprint towards the Orcs. After only minutes of battle the frightened Orcs fled in terror and the animals returned quietly into the forest.

Caranthir lay on the ground, astonished at what he had just witnessed. It was from this moment on that Caranthir swore a pact with Folian. To "Be one with the forests and live in harmony with nature's creatures. Take no more than you need and give as much as you can in return". Caranthir would be a Ranger.
