Ranger 9
Description
Born on the verges of the Willow’s Weep to a Cleric of Branderback and a Ranger Thief, Fínola was quick to take up a bow and the self centred teachings of her parent’s deity. With this also came the urge to roam and to seek out her own personal enrichment. On Willow’s weep she learnt to have an affinity with the things that grew around her; that with her mother’s natural gift in mischief made becoming a ranger, not so much a choice but more a natural progression, not only to safely pursue her natural curiosities but also to escape the attention of her two elder brothers AINMIRE and BLÁTHMAC. The child found the gifts of nature provided ample opportunity to express her own fanciful whims. Early in her turning years was she instructed on the use of a bow and it soon became an extension to herself, along with the keen edge of a short blade. Both were made of good use among the forest’s verges as well as her ability to hide. She soon became a very good huntress, tracking down those animals that were not among her brood of “friends”. Her father and other family members showed much interest in the proliferation of sculpted leathers among her things and regularly her favourites would disappear. She was never sure though of which family member it was that was taking them and suspected that all took turns. When she had finished a particularly intricate piece from the hide of a faun, she safe guarded it with a simple trap thinking it would save the piece from the fingers of her brothers. She didn’t even know it was gone when she saw it in her mother’s possession with a line of garnets embroidered into the piece. She challenge her mother on the piece whom claimed it was a gift from her father. That day Fínola left her childhood home. She followed the coast line down from Willow’s Weep to Horrin. In Horrin she was able to sell enough sculpted leathers to pay for passage to Milstone where she was dropped off in the vicinity of Liken. She is not sure of why she decided to go to Milstone, nor of why she ended up in Hlint. Keeping to the shadows, most do not get a chance to see the fair face weaved with intricate lines nor hidden locks of copper kept tight beneath the shawl of this lithe wraith, dextrously following the animal paths.
