Jack Darkenmyrr

---------------------------------------------------------------- --------Description------------------------------------------

The man stands at ease with his hands behind his back. His firm jaw jutting as he chews on a filthy stub of a cigar, his face set in a perpetual slight scowl. His steel-gray eyes narrowed and alert as they survey the area thoroughly. He appears to be in his early forties - though an experienced eye would notice signs of a more youthful body. He carries himself with confidence, practiced discipline and economy of movement - this man is a professional soldier.

He speaks in a gravelly and commanding voice, between sucking on his everpresent cigar-stub. This man is used to being obeyed, and despite his fairly unattractive appearance, almost exudes a palpable aura of command.

---------------------------------------------------------------- --------Bio----------------------------------------------------

Jacks father was a captain of the port Hampshire guardsmen. Jack Senior was a stern and demanding father, though often as not, he left the raising of his child to the other guardsmen of that city. Thus it was, that Jacks first memories are of marching soldiers in the training grounds of the keep. When one day Jack Senior didnt return from a routine patrol, the military became his father, his mother, his everything.

His interest in religion grew slowly over the years. He began to see the hand of the Divine in many small ways. His disciplined and meticulous nature was naturally disposed to the doctrine followed by the clergy of Rofireim, who were a frequent sight in his line of work. His many talks with them slowly nurtured his values to include a passion for fairness and justice. As a result he never progressed beyond drill sergeant (a position which he was very well suited for, he consciously developed his harsh tongue for this task), and at age 30, he left the military to take up full time studies as a battle priest of the All-Seeing One.

After completing his years as an acolyte, he quickly grew restless - and petitioned to become a Knight of the Wyrm. His adventure starts in Hlint, newly arrived from the south, he seeks knowledge and all things ancient and hidden, in the name of his order - so that a means to defeat the growing threat of Bloodstone can be found. With him he carries his resolve, military discipline, and his faith in Justice and that civilisation will prevail in the face of any and all adversity.
