Vidar Thornaxe

Vidar's childhood passed in Bloody Gate and those were the best 15 years a dwarf could imagine. He spent his days training with his two brothers under the watchful eye of his father, The Great Thornaxe. Though Vidar's skill with the axe wasn't as great as his older brother's, it was still far above average. This must have been the reason why father liked Fenrir most, atleast it was the only reason Vidar could imagine at his young age. He still worked hard and excelled at his combat training, yet he lacked that spark and zeal towards it, that was obvious in Fenrir's eyes. In reality, father liked them all equally, yet it was the age that mattered and thus only Fenrir got to accopmany The Great Thornaxe to various expeditions. Perhaps if a few years would pass, then father would have called Vidar along, but...

A series of terrible events had changed the life in Bloody Gate forever and for Vidar, the invasion of Milara and the death of is father meant the end of his youth. Another shock striked him, when Fenrir left Bloody Gate. All of a sudden, he was the head of the family.

Vidar was always more religious than his brother and even his father. He spent much time in the temple praying and reading the runes about the dwarves of old. It happened first in a very young age, as Vidar was uncomfortable at the training grounds in Fenrir's shadow. In time he realised how silly his thoughts were, but his bound with the temple only grew and became stronger by the day. But the event that tied the link between him and Vorax forever, was the death of The Great Thornaxe. As Vidar stood infront of a motionless body of his father, he realised that simple strenght is not enough. He was sure that his father was the bravest and strongest of dwarves, yet even he was helpless when facing the wicked ways of Milara and his minions.

Years passed and Vidar felt the need to seek out his older brother. Only together would they become a force to match the great lost father. With that thought in mind, Vidar spoke to his younger brother, he told him to come Mistone when he feels that he is ready, since that is where Fenrir should be. Then and only then will the three brothers unite....

Personality:

There isn't much that would differ Vidar from other dwarves. Except for one thing, he can become quite serious and nostalgic from time to time, such moods come from his childhood and can often last a while. He is quite orthodox in his opinion regarding religion and different races, this is the influence of the church. He will be hostile to some races and will simply dislike others. Though he understand that he will need to respect and work with them, as only unity is the way to destroy Blood.

Appearance:

Vidar is 4 feet long and weighs around 200 pounds, he has dark hair and a beard of respectable seize, even among dwarves. He often organises it into braids so that it wouldn't get in the way. He has brown eyes, though few can spot them, since his eyebrows are as bushy as his beard.
